The space
Welcome to our Character home!
The property was originally built in 1912 and has been remodeled multiple times since, but definitely retains its character! It has new furnishings, spacious backyard and lots of natural light. There are a few rooms, and each one is decorated differently, but all feature modern décor, bright pops of color, and cool artwork. You will find everything you need to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay.
The unit offers 2 floors of living space, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and an open concept kitchen/ living area ideal for entertaining/ family time.
The ground floor features a sitting area, TV, a dining space, kitchen with necessary appliances and full bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, microwave, fridge, tea pot, coffee machine, dishware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery, and much more!
Upper-level features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with 2 sinks.
The master bedroom offers plenty of space and comes with a comfy king-size bed, sitting area and a lot of natural light.
Second bedroom features 2 twin beds, comfy sitting area and a new queen-size bed on the upper level (bunk-bed style) as well as walk-in closet. Second bedroom can sleep 4 people in total, as the upper bunk-bed has a queen size mattress.
The bathroom upstairs has 2 sinks, toilet and a bathtub.
Upstairs floor also features a business/study area with a desk and a comfortable sitting area with a futon that converts into a bed.
The main floor features an additional bedroom with a queen-size bed, and an easily accessible laundry room with a washing and drying machine.
The living room has a comfortable sitting area, TV, books, and games.
Our property is very spacious and freshly renovated. The railings have been installed in the staircases as the size of the stairs is of original design and are steeper than regular steps. The property has a serene backyard area that is nicely landscaped and backs up to the Kensington venues.
Our house is a great family destination, not only for its Kensington location and downtown access to sightseeing gems and nearby shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, but for its family-friendly features. Availability of multiple rooms is a huge asset, along with cribs, playpens, board games, books, etc. Its location on Memorial Drive also allows easy day trips into the Rocky Mountains for one-of-a-kind mementos.
The property is also ideal for remote workers, featuring High Speed WIFI, desk, numerous power outlets, a comfortable chair.
We accept well trained/behaved pets but limit pets acceptance to hypoallergenic non shedding only. We all know how problematic pet hair and dander can be for pet-allergic guests. No matter how much you scrub, dust and vacuum, it’s not possible to completely remove pet allergens from a house. Guests with pets, please let us know that your pet stay with you and consider other guests health conditions, thank you!
Our spacious house and spacious fully fenced backyard as well as parks around and walking paths along the Bow River makes it perfect place for your pets.
Direction: The property is located at 1416 Memorial Drive.
Location: Nestled in trendy Kensington, the property is minutes from shopping boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. Whether you are looking for a night out or exploring the many walking paths, Kensington has something for everyone. The property is in close proximity to a playground, walking paths, and stunning views of the downtown skyline. The property is well insulated to ensure guests won’t be bothered by traffic or street noise.
Parking: There is one car private parking pad in the back alley, right behind the house – no registration needed. Also, an ample amount of street parking out front – we will need to get your car registered, it might take a day or two, so you will need to provide your car info before you arrive. Also you can find some parking at the Shoppers or OJ’s parking lots, or some other paid $2 overnight parking in Kensington Plaza, a couple minute walk.
Amenities: Easily accessible walking/biking paths along the Bow River, lazy river rafting during summer, and many public parks. The property includes an outdoor sitting area, barbecue, and patio lights.
House Rules:
NO PARTIES. NO LOUD MUSIC, YELLING, SCREEMING, SINGING. QUIET HOURS designated from 9PM TO 7 AM – CALGARY BYLAWS.
No parties at this property are allowed, as neighbors are sensitive to noise. All guests spending the night must be authorized and approved by host. Unauthorized visitors overnight will result in a $200 fine.

You’ll find this area also offers the best choices of bars, restaurants, coffee shops in all categories for families, groups, couples, or solo adventurers. The romantic presence of the Bow River sweeps through this burgeoning western metropolis, where the outdoors is always present via idyllic walking paths, parklands, and the constant lure of the spectacular Rocky Mountains nearby.
